NFL CHRISTMAS SATURDAY TRIPLE HEADER
Vegas was right on with the .5 Hook in the TNF Soldier Field game, but at least we called the Under accurately...
Here are today’s games with very brief commentary:
Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots 42.5 (+6) [U]
The Bolts are coming off extra rest as the home team Pats are on a five game losing streak
The Patriots have improved under rookie coach Jerrod Mayo. They play hard, and last week, as a 14 point Road Dog, they gave the Bills all they could handle, falling short in a 24-21 nail biter.
The Chargers need this win to stay relevant in the “We Get to Play a Floundering Houston Team in the Wild Card Round” Sweepstakes.
As with the TNF game, the Sharps are near 90% on the Bolts and the public in the high 80s--which means there is value in the contrarian side.
Six-point Home Dogs? This time my stubborn Sicilian nature will pull that trigger. Weather willl be an issue, the Pats are at home, and the Spread is too high.
New England Covers; Bolts win--Under the Total...
Chargers 21
Patriots 17
Denver Broncos @ Cincinnati Bengals 50. (-3.5) [U]
As excellent as Joe Burrow’s offense is, the Bengals defense has been just as awful. Cincy seems to have a defense problem every year.
With the extra Rest from their TNF loss the Bolts are my pick here--both teams are playing for a Wild Card spot...
Denver’s rookie QB, Bo Nix, is under the radar in the ROY standings; he has turned his season around.
Even though these two teams are very good Over clubs, we’re betting on the Denver secondary to stop the Burrow/Chase air attack, Under the Total.
Denver wins outright...
Broncos 26
Bengals 23
Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams 48.5 (-6) [U]
The Rams are one of the NFL’s hottest teams, winning four in a row...
Arizona players have already made Monday tee times all over the metro area...
The Rams could be a real post-season sleeper.
Lay the Chalk; bet the Under...
Rams 30
Cardinals. 17
