We’ll keep the commentary short, mostly because we don’t think either contest is a hard call

LOCK OF THE WEEK

MINNESOTA VIKINGS @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (12-4) - 7.5 44 [O]

Drew Breeze is on another planet folks; he completed 74.3% of his passes on the year. He has Alan Kamara, Michael Thomas, a stud offensive line and the home field.

Kirk Cousins’ demons are hovering over him, and they won’t go away against a tough defense one of the best play callers in the game and a hostile crowd.

Dalvin Cook hasn‘t yet recovered from a shoulder most of the year and Adam Thielen’s hammy has slowed him down.

The Vikings have played about five good teams; they beat Dallas and Philly, losing to KC, Seattle and Green Bay twice. Their schedule was easy and the Norsemen still struggled

To win this game, Cousins is going to have to out duel Brees for sixty minutes without making any jaw-dropping mistakes.

I don’t think he can do it. Sometimes it is that simple.

Saints win going away. We lean to the Over.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES +1.5 44

I was in the habit of getting my bets in early thinking I would get more value somewhere along the line. I forgot that strategy can backfire on me like it did with this one.

The Eagles are inconsistent, including Carson Wentz, have been dogged by injuries, barely won the worst division in football, and their defense can be plain bad.

The Seahawks are hurting too---every team is –but I’m banking on Russel Wilson to break some Philadelphia hearts with a last second strike to Cover the Number.

Look for the inevitable trick play to blow up in the Eagles face.
